.Let's Meat.

So, last week i was in carnivore mode ON. Something i was not usually doing.

I had a bad day at work, so I asked Mr Chubby for a quick dinner date. So we hunted around Kelapa Gading area, until we saw this restaurant. I remembered they had a promotion on some website, using a voucher of course. Although I was not having their voucher, I thought why not gave it a shot.

The place was kinda small but they tried to decorate it with some vintage posters. They also put a chalk board written with their menu for the sake of art-sy feeling? Well anyway, the TV really distracting for me. But i came here for the food, so that's the point.

I ordered Half Beef Ribs with Barbeque Sauce, 39K. Something I never ordered whole my life. The bbq sauce was really good. The meat was okay, it was not wrapped in too much fat, and cooked medium rare.

Mr Chubby had Local Tenderloin Steak with Mushroom sauce, 36K. The sauce was different than the photo, which was brown and darker. This was more like Carbonara sauce. Tasted too rich for my liking. The meat was okay too, a little bit chewy but it's okay since we ordered tenderloin. The portion was big, I surely could not finish this one if it was my order!

Finish all down with a glass of mint ice tea, 3K.

Overall, the food was okay. But the service was the plus thing, they asked for some feedback and the waitress also understand their menu very well. I should be coming back when I'm craving for some cheap steak! :p

.Prince Waffle.

Just a quick post. I found their stall at MKG, and tempted by this.

There were so many toppings to choose. I chose the chocolate waffle with white chocolate sauce and chocolate rice, 8K.

The waffle was good. Crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The white chocolate was too sweet for me, but the chocolate rice gave a crunchy texture on the waffle.

Nice waffle, I should be coming back :)

.Churreria : Revisit.

Hmmm goodness...

Plus, they gave you free praline if you are following their twitter!

I chose Baileys, but I could not find any taste of it on the praline. But nice churros, though.

.Hakata Ikkousha.

Food bloggers sometime used 'food coma' phrase to describe the situation when the food was too good to be true. I rarely had food coma. But today, I definitely had it.

I was wondering about dinner when i realized it's too early for dinner and we were around Muara Karang area, so I thought it's a good time to join the hype for this new restaurant. And it was a perfect time. The restaurant was full at that time, and even it was not the dinner time yet! The owner (I think) informed the waitress to ask one of the table to split their table. Whew i did not mind to wait a while, but he seemed to rushing every customer to have seated right after arrived.

I, as usual, not a Ramen lover. Never been one. So I opted for a Yakiniku hotplate, 34K and a bowl of rice, 10K. That was a pricey bowl of rice.

As for Mr Chubby, he chose a Special Pork Ramen, 38K.

The ramen looked ordinary right? So I have no expectation on this. I looked at the broth, it was really thick and tempting. And it was wayyyy beyond my expectation. Went to food coma after this. The broth was really rich, I read they cooked the broth for 2 days. The pork was melted in your mouth. And the egg...perfect! Now i know why there's a hype for this.

It was that good, that I asked Mr Chubby to switch, and he's okay with that. One of the reason I love him <3 Thank you love :)

We were also given a bowl of fresh garlic and a bowl of chunky egg. You don't need anything actually, it was already has its way through your taste bud. But I, as a garlic and spicy lover, crushed a few garlic and put some chili on it. The chili was really spicy and the garlic enriched the ramen into something that again, too good to be true.

As for the Yakiniku, it was good but hence the ramen glory, it was tasted less exciting than the other dish.

My only comment would be....the crowd? And i am not talking about the crowd of customer. They have lots, really a lot of waitresses. Approx. 30 persons i think.

The kitchen was full with people, so does the stair. I understand the redundant in few aspects (12 toilet paper rolls holder in the toilet and 3 soap holders on the sink) but really this much? Most of them were doing nothing. I don't know, maybe the owner put it as for the efficiency value?

Nonetheless, I definitely will be back for ramen that good!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, it was that good that i return back for lunch the day after :p I went there with a few friends so i had the opportunity to try the other ramen yum yum..

The Spicy Pork Ramen was not spicy, and it has a little hint of curry on it.

The Chicken Ramen was also good.

We also ordered gyoza. It was different than other gyoza I ever had. The gyoza skin was thinner, and the meat was really juicy.

I think my favorite combo are the Special Pork Ramen and gyoza yummm..

Btw this was the picture from toilet :p

Cute eh?

.The Harvest : Revisited.

Closer look...

Yummy right? Here's some of biscuit display I've been drolling about..

Their Ramadhan parcels..

I've been eyeing for their lapis legit cookies! Hiks 70K for a box....

But this was the reason i came..

Beautiful!

I chose the rum and raisin ice cream with cone, 20K.

The ice cream was pretty good, but the cone was tasteless. I wish it was sweeter.

As for the take away, I picked the milk chocolate bar as usual, 15K and an oatmeal raisin cookies, 8K.

I can't taste the oatmeal much, but the butter was really strong. Love it.

The only thing that keep me back was the chocolate bar, too irresistible!

.Burger and Fries.

I've been craving for a good patty :(

Forgot the burger name...it's from Chili's. Huge portion, I can't finish it even together with a friend.

Burger King Spicy Japaleno. Hmmmm....used to be my favorite. Before the Carls Jr attacks Jakarta.

Red Chicken Burger. Not good. But i put it here since it's on my phone archive hehe..

I miss the fries from Hema resto. They served good food with reasonable price. Plus the Hollandaise sauce was too good to be true!

.Bistro Delifrance.

When I had some sight seeing (read : drooling) through their croissant display, I saw a couple of macarons. As usual, I dragged Mr Chubby inside this place hohoho.

Closer look...

My beautiful baby...

I had a box of 4 macarons for 20K.

And a cinnamon croissant for 11K.

The macaron at Delifrance was different than Eaton version. It's creamier and sweeter and less crunchy than Eaton's. They even store this in the fridge. In the box, it's pistachio, lemon, chocolate and strawberry flavored macaron. Chocolate - it tasted kinda weird, but not overly sweet. Lemon - you can taste the sourness of lemon, but i was hoping for crunchier texture. Strawberry - too sweet for my liking. Pistachio - nice, the pistachio taste was there :)

But the cinnamon croissant was a disappointment. I was hoping more as this was a self-proclaimed french bakery, hence the name. The croissant was too dry for me, and it lost the buttery feeling which I usually had from pastry like this. The cinnamon put a nice fragrant though.

Overall, maybe coming back for another croissant (second chance is not a sin) :p

.Ayam Tangkap Kuta Raja.

Had this for lunch at Mall Ambassador, 23K.

It's a dish from Aceh if i am not mistaken. The chicken was okay, you can smell the herbs a bit. But the green that covered the chicken you saw on the picture, it was crunchy, almost like chips! Addictive!

.Homemade Bakery.

I used to buy their whole wheat bread... I think they put reasonable price for their bread. So last Saturday when I was waiting for a movie, I saw the Homemade crepe and it's only available at EX, I could not said no.

They had few crepe options, from the sweet to the savory one.

I chose the Ham and Cheese 9K as it was my favorite topping. If you think he would put anything on the crepe after i took this shot, you were wrong. It was as plain as in this picture. The crepe maker informed me that the vegetable was not ready yet, but I said it's okay. The only difference maybe the chili sauce he put after this. He put it a lot.

See the result? The crepe itself was not satisfying. But i thought the worst was the service.

When i said it's okay for no vegetable, the crepe man said okay but he did not doing anything. He even started to play and hug with a girl. I was like 'heh?' but i was busy with the other weirdness. The cashier girl. I think she had some difficulties when inputting my order. But instead of informed to wait, she just left me by the cashier. And she's not coming back. She seemed like having a fun conversation with the other waitress. And forgetting me?

Mr Chubby even wanted to cancel our order, but one of the waitress seemed like knowing our situation and take over the cashier. It's really not cool to leave your customer by the cashier!

I think the problem was there's no supervisor by the time. In the outlet near my home, I always found a supervisor or manager to keep things run well. So dear the Homemade Bakery owner, if you read my post, put a man on the EX outlet please.....
